Michael Zhu

Michael Zhu joined Gobi China in 2003 and has over 19 years of venture capital experience, focusing on sectors including new digital infrastructure, enterprise services, and carbon neutrality. Michael graduated from Shanghai Donghua University with a bachelor's degree in computational automation.

As the lead partner, Michael successfully formed the Gobi Yingzhi, Gobi Zhiying, and Gobi Qiling RMB funds in 2012, 2015, and 2018 respectively, with a total amount raised of RMB 1.25 billion. In 2016, Michael participated in raising and leading the management of the HK$1 billion Hong Kong Alibaba Entrepreneur Fund.

Michael serves on the board of directors in multiple portfolio companies, he leads a variety of projects including Airwallex, Waveoptics, Cloudwise, Brite Semiconductor, UR, PICOOC, Timecho, etc. In 2019, Michael was awarded the "Top 100 Best Venture Capitalists in China" by 36 Kr. From 2018 to 2022, Michael has been selected as one of Forbes' "Top 100 Best Venture Capitalists in China" for five consecutive years.

Wing Hu

Wing Hu joined Gobi China in 2011 and is responsible for managing Gobi China's Beijing office. He focuses on cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy sectors.

Wing Hu serves on the board of various portfolio companies and has led and participated in investments such as Teambition, 36Kr, Dianwoda, E-sign, StayCloud, ChuangKit, MagaRobo, and Yipu Technology. In 2019, Wing was honored as the "2019 Young and Outstanding Investor" by China Renaissance. In 2020, he was awarded the "2019-2020 China's 30 Most Influential Young Investors" by 21st Century Business Herald, and 36Kr's "WISE2020 Top 20 Chinese Investors in Enterprise Services". 

Prior to joining Gobi China, Wing worked as a project manager at TMG ( The Martec Group ) management consulting firm, where he was responsible for projects involving the chemical and automotive manufacturing industries, and gained extensive experience in fine chemicals, new materials, and new energy vehicles, serving a number of Global 500 companies, including Dow Chemical, Henkel, DuPont, Honeywell, and Corning.

Wing Hu graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
